Strength testing and its many possibilities
Force testing with ForceFrame
Strength testing with the ForceFrame is done quickly, accurately and completely tailored to your body. This portable device can be adjusted to as many as 35 different positions, making it possible to test a wide range of muscle groups in both the upper and lower body. The ForceFrame specifically measures isometric strength – that is, the force your muscles exert without movement. Thanks to the adjustable measuring units and cushions, the tests can be precisely tailored to your physique, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. This test is suitable for any athlete, regardless of level, sports discipline or rehabilitation stage.
Insights for performance and prevention
The results of a ForceFrame test give you valuable insights into your strength distribution, muscle balance and any weak links in your movement chain. This makes the test particularly interesting for drawing up personal training schedules, evaluating rehabilitation and preventing injuries. By testing regularly, you can also objectively monitor how you are progressing in terms of strength. Moreover, this method is not burdensome, so you can easily fit it into a broader screening or testing series.
Accurate force measurements
The measurement results are clearly visible in graphs, giving you precise and accurate data quickly.
The ForceFrame system instantly gives you accurate analysis and measures strength in a variety of configurations of muscle groups:
- Hip: adduction, abduction, flexion, extension, internal and external rotation
- Knee: flexion and extension
- Only: enversion and eversion
- Neck: flexion, extension and lateral flexion
- Shoulder: adduction, abduction, flexion, extension, internal and external rotation,…
Using this data, the athlete or trainer can create an appropriate isometric exercise program. Over time, you can re-measure whether you have gained strength and/or certain asymmetries have resolved.
Understanding strength and performance
Strength testing at Perform2achieve
At Perform2Achieve, we analyze strength in a targeted way using three specialized strength analyses: lower body, upper body and jump strength.
The lower body strength analysis charts the strength and control of your lower body (hips, thighs, knees, lower legs and ankles). We look at maximum strength, left-right differences and stability. Ideal for athletes, people with knee/hip/ankle problems or during rehabilitation, because you can see very clearly where your strengths lie and where your body needs extra support.
Upper body strength analysis focuses on torso, shoulders, arms and upper back. We measure strength, symmetry and shoulder stability, among other things. This is interesting for overhead sports (such as tennis, volleyball, swimming or crossfit), for shoulder or arm pain, or when you want to train injury-preventively and purposefully with a clear plan based on objective data.
The strength analysis jumping power measures your explosiveness and push-off power and shows how efficiently you convert power into a jumping motion. In doing so, we also look at left-right differences and strength building. This analysis is very relevant for explosive sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, athletics, etc.) as well as for athletes who want to safely return to sport with measurable progression after rehabilitation.
